Monthly Streamside Outings:
On November 27, 2009 Nick Mermigas will host a Sreamside Outing. Nick has chosen this date since it is the day after Thanksgiving, yes a Friday. While the malls are filled with bargan shoppers, you can be spending the day on the New section of Wilson Creek fishing some of North Carolina's newest Delayed harvest waters. Nick will provide his renowned Brunswick Stew and Jalapeno Cornbread for lunch. This outing will be for RRTU members and a few of Nick's guest. Family Day and Outing:
RRTU is pleased to announce a Family Outing the will be held on May 1, 2010 at Reedy Creek Park. The outing will begin at 3:00 and will continue until 8:00. Between 3:00 and 5:30 there will be outside activities. Casting course, rod demos, horseshoes, pond fishing, trail hiking and just enjoying being together are a few of the events we have planned. We will have a whole roasted pig, like at Appletree, for our meal with all the fixings and have tea to drink. There will be a couple of bucket raffles and a few silent auction items for after the meal. Tickets for this event will be $15 for an individual, $25 for a couple and $10 for children 18 to 12 with 11 and under free. Updates and raffle/auction items will be posted soon. Please come out and help support our Chapter.
